The Werribee Football Club and Invicta Performance Athlete Wellness Hub present their healthy taco bowl recipe. 
Ingredients
Taco Bowls
2.5 cups cooked rice (brown or basmati are good but you can use any)
1 tbsp olive oil
500g ground turkey or beef
1 packet of taco seasoning
1 can corn kernels, drained
1 can black beans, rinsed & drained
1 cup low fat shredded cheese
1 1/3 cup salsa
2 green onions, sliced
1 avocado, sliced (to serve)
4 lime wedges (to serve)
Method

Heat olive oil in a pan on medium high heat.

Add ground turkey or beef, cook until browned. Drain off any fat.

When the meat is fully cooked and drained, add the taco seasoning and 1/2 cup water.
Stir and simmer until reduced to a saucy consistency. Turn heat off and set aside.

Divide the rice between five containers.

Divide the remaining six bowl ingredients between the containers as well (taco meat, corn, beans, cheese, salsa, and green onions).

Serve with a 1/4 sliced avocado & a lime wedge.
