Families are invited to join an Indigenous art workshop, a fun and creative space where young minds can explore their feelings, stories, and the world around them through art. The sessions will create a safe and open space for children to express themselves through colour, shapes, and stories that come from their hearts.
What is the workshop about?
Helping kids connect with the land and the culture in a way that feels personal to them. Through art, they'll how to express their thoughts and emotions, even the ones that are hard to put into words. It's a chance for them to tell their own stories about their lives, their families, their feelings.
Self expression and curiosity
The workshop is a place for creativity, curiosity, and fun exploration! Kids will use symbols, colours, and shapes to share their own experiences and connect with the land and the culture of the indigenous communities.
Story told through art
This is a space where creativity flows naturally, allowing individuals to convey their personal ideologies and experiences using the language of the land-and most importantly, the language of themselves. It's a great way for them to learn about self-expression and discover how to share what's inside them in a creative and meaningful way.
