Pacific Werribee is undertaking a program of permanent rectification works in the area of the centre between Target and Myer, including the adjacent multi-deck car park.
Work will commence on 10 January 2023 and will continue in stages in the area of the centre between Target and Myer, as well as the adjacent car park.
Importantly, the Centre is safe for operation and occupation during the program of works, and will remain open and trading.
The need for these works was identified as part of regular investigations undertaken throughout the Centre.
As soon as these issues were identified, we took immediate action to address them. Alongside the precautionary installation of temporary measures such as exclusion zones, props and cantilever beams, we have also worked with third-party specialist consultants and engineers to determine a program of works that will permanently reinforce these sections of the structure.
Following a significant tender process, we have appointed a contractor to carry out this program of works, which are scheduled to commence on Tuesday 10 January 2023.
The majority of the works are expected to be completed by the end of 2024. All activity between now and then has been staged and localised to minimise impacts to our retailers, customers and surrounding community – at any time, the majority of the centre is unaffected, and it is business as usual.
The first stage of works will take place over the next couple of months in the LG, G, and 1st level car park area surrounding the central Heaths Road entrance, as well as in the area surrounding the ex-Valley Girl tenancy.
Throughout all phases of activity, the safety and wellbeing of our entire Pacific Werribee community is our number one priority.
You may notice some temporary changes to parking and centre and car park access points, the temporary closure or relocation of some stores, or higher than usual noise and some vibrations over the course of the project.
We are committed to carrying out these works in a way that seeks to minimise the impact on our community and have a number of measures in place to do so. These include:
