A big THANK YOU to all who donated Christmas 2023!
Our local Salvation Army volunteers wrapped thousands of gifts over the festive period and today we are excited to announce that with your help and a helping hand from the Werribee Football Club, over $22k was raised for The Wyndham Salvation Army.
A special thanks to the amazing staff at the hospital working through the festive season.
A big thank you to the Werribee Football Club for coming down to our September School Holiday event 'Skill Set'.
Young aspiring athletes could meet the club and learn how to hand ball a footy!
We were able to award 500 prizes including a free meal voucher for Pacific Werribee and a certificate each.
Teams and clubs included:
Cambridge Cougars Basketball Team (pictured)
Hoppers Crossing Football Club
Werribee City FC. Miniroos
Aus Kick
Cambridge Champs Basketball Tteam
Thank you to the sports teams and clubs for participating and making this year so successful!
Wishing a happy Father’s Day to all the incredible dads out there in the Werribee community
We'd love to give a special shout-out to James (pictured), Tarek and Joe who were nominated by their families for our Father's Day competition. Each father won a special dining and entertainment voucher to spend with their families.
Not only are they super caring and adore their loved ones, but always put their family's needs ahead of theirs.
Thank you to the Wyndham Library's for celebrating Book Week with us and hosting a Rhyme Time session in the centre! Little ones enjoyed 30 minutes of stories, songs and rhymes designed to develop early language, literacy and numeracy skills.
A special thank you to Aunty Eva-Jo for visiting us for Book Week and sharing Aboriginal stories in a special Storytime session.
Those that attended discovered incredible job opportunities, helpful workshops and handy resources.
Wyndham boasts one of the city's highest birthing rates with 13 babies born every day (almost 100 a week). For the June/ July school holidays the centre hosted the ‘Werribee Ward’ inspiring the next generation of midwives, doctors and nurses.
Local children pulled on their scrubs and experienced the hands-on daily activities of a brand-new baby’s hospital ward and local community partners hosted workshops for parents too.
A special thanks to everyone who donated as well as our community partners Mercy Health, Tiny Hearts Education and Drummond Street Services β€οΈ With your help, we have raised $5,000 for the Paediatric Ward at Werribee Mercy Hospital!
For First Responders Day we invited all first responders to come to the centre and enjoy a free coffee on us as "A Little Thanks".
This was just a little way to show our great appreciation for those on the front helping our community, big or small.
Thank you to everyone who joined us for our MECCA masterclass series for the Mother's Day weekend! Together, we were able to raise $2,000 for the The Salvation Army Australia which is an incredible effort. π
We brought a very special guest to see the wonderful patients and staff at Werribee Mercy Hospital. π°
During his visit, the patients and staff all told him what type of chocolate they are hoping to see on Easter morning (and some-bunny told us he’ll be doing just that).
Leading up to Easter we spotted a generous little bunny hopping from store to store gifting other retailers delicious hot cross buns! We want to say #ALittleThanks to the lovely Kristy from Bakers Delight for this simple act of kindness.
Pacific Werribee is full of women who inspire, empower, and lift others higher, so in the lead-up to International Women’s Day, we wanted to shine a light on some of the incredible women business owners and managers at our centre. Including Muffin Break Pacific Werribee, Shweta and the owners of Australian Skin Clinic, Monica and May.
Thank you to everyone who nominated a special lady in their life as part of our International Women’s Day competition. We were so impressed with the response that was received, instead of selecting one woman we decided to select 3 winners to honor in our community. Winners recieved a bouqet of flowers, gift card and a sweet gift box from San Churro.
Here’s to everyone else within our community who strives to build gender equality, creating equal rights for all. π
In celebration of all things love, we visited Manor Court Werribee Aged Care and gifted their well-deserving residents and nurses a special something for Valentine's Day. β€οΈπ
We surprised each resident with a red rose and gave bouquets of thanks to the hard working nurses and workers.
