Project update

Pacific Werribee Project Update

February 2023
Published 09 February

In early January, Pacific Werribee commenced a program of permanent rectification works in the centre between Target and Myer, including the adjacent multi-deck car park.

We are committed to open and regular communication with our community during this project, and the below update is designed to provide you with details about what’s happening and what you can expect to see over the coming month.

Target’s temporary closure

As we have previously advised, this project does necessitate periods of store closures while some of the tenancies are accessed for works.

One such tenancy is Target. While timings may be subject to change, Target is expected to close for trade from 18 March and reopen before Christmas this year. This closure is a necessity and allows our contractor to undertake important construction work in an efficient and safe manner.

We know that Target is a favourite shopping destination for our community, and we thank you for your patience and understanding during this time.

Carpark works

Alongside the work that continues in the areas of the multideck car park surrounding the central entrance from Heaths Road, we will soon commence similar works in the Lower Ground car park underneath Target.

To facilitate the next stage of work in the Lower Ground car park, the following temporary changes will occur between 9 February and late May:

The entrance and exit from Heaths Road into the Lower Ground car park (Target/Carwash entry) will be closed.

The entrance and exit from the internal road adjacent to Barber Drive into the Lower Ground car park (Target/Carwash entry) will be closed.

Vehicular access to the Ground floor car park will remain open via the existing ramp.

Pedestrian access from Heaths Road (Target/Carwash entrance) and the Barber Drive entrance will be prohibited.

Pedestrians will be able to access the centre from this area of the car park through the Target escalators.

To ensure that our community’s journey through this area of the car park is disrupted as little as possible, we will have a comprehensive traffic management plan in place.

As always, we are committed to carrying out these works in a way that seeks to minimise the impact on our community and have a number of measures in place to do so. These include:

  • Making best endeavours to schedule noisy or disruptive works outside of these peak hours.
  • Implementing traffic management plans
  • Conducting works behind hoardings to help reduce noise and dust
  • Engaging additional cleaning services

Next steps

Thank you for your cooperation and ongoing patience during this time.

We will share regular updates with our community over the course of the project. Keep an eye on our website to stay up to date with the latest information.

Pacific Werribee is proud to remain the region’s one-stop destination for food, fashion, and fun.
